~June~
It's June, which means that summer vacation has started!! I thought that this button would be the most appropriate and fitting to start my blog. Unfortunately, I can't recall any recent days that we have worn flipflops here in Clinton now that school is out because the weather has not been cooperating. We have been drenched in rain, rain, and more rain the last week. With many more days of summer vacation to come, I know that soon my toes will be soaking in the sun and I will enjoy my flipflops.
Hard to believe that another year has passed by so fast. Our weather in Pella has been similar to Clinton's. A lot of rain, and cool temperatures.
ReplyDeleteI tend to forget every year how much students grow and then what we move back to in August. Each year I begin with a group of students who are 4, 5, and 6 who have very little school experience. It is overwhelming coming back to start new each August.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your post about flip flops. I have two toddlers and they are home with me this summer--- BEGGING to wear flip flops. I told them that when it gets above 75 degrees we'd break them out. haha
ReplyDeleteI was very interested to read about your new writing initiative. My oldest daughter will be in Kindergarten this fall and she's working hard at letter recognition. I don't know how you do it in elementary. I teach HS choir and am always amazed at how well elementary teachers do at teaching them the basics when there is so much to learn at once.
